Signature handmade nativity scenes

The Atelier

Since 1992, an unbroken devotion to the art of the Neapolitan nativity scene. Sacrelia is born from here: works modelled by hand, one of a kind, made to be kept and handed down.

The origins

It began in 1992, when three friends — Gaetano, Gianni and Maurizio — discovered a shared obsession: to shape a nativity scene almost from nothing, with only imagination and a few raw materials in their hands.

What set that passion alight was a journey. Gianni, a member of the Italian Association of Nativity Scene Friends, brought them to the first national congress, in Nicotera. It was an experience they would never forget: on the way home they spoke of nothing but the next scene — plaster or cork, the proportions of the figures, the light, every detail.

From that spark grew a devotion the years could not dim. Between study and work, their hands always returned to the same art: the Neapolitan nativity scene, built with the patience of those who are in no hurry.

Today

From that long faithfulness, Sacrelia was born. Each work is modelled by hand, one of a kind, made not simply to be bought but to be kept — and, one day, passed down. Chosen materials, unhurried gestures, no series: only signature nativity scenes, made to order. Because some things are not produced: they are awaited.
